Community Bowenwork sessions will be offered on the second Thursday of each month from 5-8pm. Yvonne Fisher, LMT, a certified Bowenwork practitioner and owner of Insight Body Therapies in Fort Washington, is now accepting appointments for Bowenwork sessions.
What is Bowenwork?
Bowenwork is a gentle soft-tissue technique that relaxes the body and allows it to reset, rebalance and heal. Created by Thomas Ambrose Bowen in Australia in the 1950’s, Bowenwork now has practitioners across the globe. It’s unique method of minimal, focused moves followed by a short pause to allow the body to process the work has created tremendous relief for people with musculo-skeletal pain and restriction. Because of global nature of its impact on the body, Bowenwork is also beneficial for respiratory, digestive and reproductive health.
What is Community Bowenwork?
Rather than an individual session at the standard therapy-hour price, Community Bowenwork is set up with multiple tables in the room, and offers a sliding scale for services, from $30-60 for a session. The regular single session price is $100. This substantial savings makes it easy for someone to try a therapy new to them at an affordable rate appropriate to their income level. Because Bowenwork is performed on a fully clothed client, there is no need for private rooms, and the short pause between moves allows time for the practitioner to work with others while the body is allowing the process of relaxation and shift.
Appointments will be taken on the quarter hour. Please call Yvonne at 215 206-5074 to book your appointment and have any questions answered. Because of the nature of the setting, we ask your co-operation in keeping a quiet space and being on time for your session.
